About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
- Research, evaluate, and implement software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
- Test, debug, and optimise applications for performance and scalability.
- Modify and enhance existing software to improve functionality and reliability.
- Develop technical documentation and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define performance and system requirements.
- Deploy software tools, processes, and metrics to improve engineering efficiency.
- Ensure efficient database interactions and server resource utilisation.
- Contribute to the design and development of enterprise-grade backend platforms.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with Relational and Non-Relational Databases.
- Solid backend development experience with server-side application design and development.
- Strong understanding of application performance, scalability, and query optimisation.
- Knowledge of functional programming principles.
- Experience in web application development.
- Strong server-side engineering expertise.
- Good understanding of software development methodologies and IT concepts.
- Exposure to Big Data technologies is an advantage.
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies is a plus.
