About the role
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Java 8+, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, RESTful APIs, SQL, and MS SQL/MySQL databases.
- Candidate should have 5+ years of experience in developing enterprise Java applications with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-grade backend applications and services.
- Strong understanding and practical implementation of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts, design patterns, and coding best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Solid experience working with relational databases, query optimisation, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with tools and technologies such as Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of Unix/Linux shell scripting and production support environments.
- Ability to lead technical discussions, perform code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and programming fundamentals.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Good understanding of application security, scalability, and performance optimisation.
- An understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit are required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
