Java Developer – Elasticsearch

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with strong experience in Elasticsearch to design, develop, and optimize large-scale, high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java backend development, Elasticsearch indexing/search optimization, and scalable microservices architectures.

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and backend components.
• Develop and optimize Elasticsearch indexes, mappings, and queries for performance and scalability.
• Integrate Elasticsearch with existing systems and data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data indexing, search accuracy, and query performance.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
• Monitor production systems, analyze performance metrics, and optimize queries and APIs.
• Document technical specifications and architectural designs.

• 6+ years of professional experience in Java (Java 8+ preferred).
• Strong understanding of Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and RESTful API development.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch — including cluster setup, indexing strategies, analyzers, and aggregations.
• Good understanding of search relevance tuning, query DSL, and performance optimization in Elasticsearch.
• Experience with relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

• Experience with Elasticsearch 7.x or later and ELK stack (Logstash, Kibana).
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of performance profiling, caching strategies, and distributed systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
