Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer with deep expertise in Java Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, and GraphQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs to power modern, data-intensive applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot-based microservices.
- Implement and manage real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
- Build scalable and efficient search capabilities using Elasticsearch.
- Design and develop GraphQL APIs for flexible and efficient data querying.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver quality features.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical planning.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance and reliability.
- 6+ years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java 8+
- Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data, etc.
- Apache Kafka – producers, consumers, and stream processing.
- Elasticsearch – indexing, querying, tuning.
- GraphQL – schema design, query optimization, integration.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservice architecture.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Proficient in version control using Git.
- Experience in working with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skills.
- Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring tools.
- Exposure to Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Understanding of security best practices in backend development.
- Agile/Scrum work experience.
