About the role
- Collaborate with back-end developers to design and implement user-facing features using Java technologies.
- Develop efficient and reusable front-end systems and components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
- Implement and maintain responsive web design principles to ensure a consistent user experience across devices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to front-end development.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize them for maximum performance across platforms.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues within the front-end application.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve front-end development practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proven work experience as a Java Front End Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language and its ecosystem.
- Proficiency in web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with JavaScript and modern frameworks such as Angular and React.
- Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS or LESS.
- Experience with responsive and mobile UI development.
- Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
