About the role
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer with expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and Cloud Foundry to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have at least 9 years of experience in backend development, with strong architectural and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for building and deploying scalable microservices-based applications and driving key cloud-native initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (8+) and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement microservices with a focus on scalability, performance, and cloud-native deployment.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and ensure best practices for security and efficiency.
- Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on Cloud Foundry platform.
- Troubleshoot issues in cloud environments and optimize deployments.
- Work with DevOps teams to enable CI/CD pipelines and automate deployments.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA, Product Management, and Architecture.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote best coding practices.
- Support production systems and improve observability, logging, and alerting.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 9+ years of experience in Java backend development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- In-depth experience with Cloud Foundry for application deployment and management.
- Experience in microservices architecture, RESTful API development, and JSON handling.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines (preferably Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Good understanding of logging and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with any message brokers.
- Experience with Cloud Foundry CLI, manifest-based deployments, and health management.
- Exposure to front-end frameworks (SAP UI5) is a plus.
