Job Title: Java Full-Stack Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Java Full-Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. This senior role involves designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-performance full-stack applications, contributing significantly to our innovative digital solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across both front-end and back-end technologies, driving technical excellence and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
Job Description:
1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex full-stack applications using Java 1.8+, Hibernate, and modern front-end frameworks like React JS.
2. Develop and consume highly performant and secure RESTful web services, ensuring scalability for enterprise-grade solutions.
3. Drive the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering and architectural design to deployment and ongoing maintenance, within an Agile environment.
4. Configure and manage application servers such as Jetty and Tomcat, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for web-based solutions.
5. Implement and maintain robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and related tools to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
6. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
7. Mentor junior engineers, conduct thorough code reviews, and contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making.
8. Take end-to-end ownership and accountability for assigned tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
9. Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges and optimize application performance.
10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members, articulating technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Competencies:
Extensive experience with Java 1.8+ and related frameworks like Hibernate for back-end development.
Proven expertise in developing and consuming RESTful web services.
Strong proficiency in front-end development using React JS.
In-depth knowledge of application servers such as Jetty and Tomcat.
Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and associated tools.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Methodologies and Tools:
Strong practical experience with Agile methodologies for project execution and delivery.
Proficiency in version control systems.
Desired Skills:
Ability to write comprehensive JUnit tests.
Experience in either Hybrid IT Infrastructure (Compute/Storage/Servers) or Cloud Native applications.
Soft Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information clearly.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to work effectively as a team player, coordinating and motivating team members.
Good time-management skills and a self-motivated approach to work.
