Job Description: Java Microservices and Spring Boot Developer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Java Microservices and Spring Boot Developer to join our dynamic and innovative development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, extensive experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures, and proficiency in utilizing the Spring Boot framework. Responsibilities:
1. Design and Development:
- Architect, design, and develop robust and scalable microservices solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements for new features and applications.
- Implement clean, maintainable, and efficient code to meet project objectives.
2. Microservices Architecture:
- Lead the design and implementation of microservices architecture, ensuring high performance, availability, and scalability.
- Break down monolithic applications into microservices, adhering to best practices and design principles.
3. Spring Boot Development:
- Utilize the Spring Boot framework to build and deploy microservices.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs, leveraging Spring Boot capabilities.
4. Database Integration:
- Integrate microservices with various databases, ensuring data consistency and integrity.
- Optimize database queries and transactions for improved performance.
5. Testing:
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure the reliability and robustness of microservices.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement and conduct integration testing.
6. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Implement monitoring solutions to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
7. Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and architectural decisions.
- Document best practices and guidelines for microservices development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Java Developer with a focus on microservices and Spring Boot (X years of experience).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong database knowledge, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices.
