About the role
Responsibilities:
- Build backend services and APIs powering Dextr's AI platform.
- Develop customer-facing product features across web and internal applications.
- Integrate third-party hospitality platforms, payment systems, telephony providers, and external APIs.
- Work with LLM-powered workflows and AI agents to solve real customer problems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Debug production issues and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers.
- Learn modern engineering practices including cloud infrastructure, observability, CI/CD, and AI-assisted software development.
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python (Prefered) or TypeScript, JavaScript.
- Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Experience building REST APIs.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with Git and collaborative software development.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have:
- Docker
- Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Basic understanding of LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, or RAG.
- Personal projects using OpenAI APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, Vercel AI SDK, or MCP.
- Experience with CI/CD.
