About the role
We are looking for a skilled JavaScript Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable automated test scripts for web applications using modern JavaScript testing frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain automated test suites using frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO, or Jest.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Perform end-to-end, functional, regression, and API testing through automation.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
- Analyze test results, report bugs, and follow through to resolution.
- Contribute to test case documentation, reporting tools, and overall QA process improvements.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with at least one JavaScript testing framework:
- Cypress, Playwright, WebdriverIO, Puppeteer, or Jest.
- Experience in test automation for web applications.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation.
- Experience with REST API testing (using tools like Postman, Supertest, or directly via test code).
- Working knowledge of Git and version control practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools for test automation integration.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Experience with TypeScript in test automation.
- Familiarity with BDD tools like Cucumber.js or Gherkin syntax.
- Knowledge of test reporting tools like Allure, Mochawesome, or similar.
- Basic understanding of performance testing and security testing.
- Experience with Docker and/or testing in containerized environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
