About the role
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services and REST APIs for AI-powered applications.
- Build and improve AI features using Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks.
- Help develop natural language query workflows that convert user questions into structured data queries and meaningful financial outputs.
- Work with SQL databases to retrieve, process, validate, and manage data efficiently.
- Integrate LLM APIs and implement prompt engineering techniques to improve response quality and reliability.
- Assist in building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and context retrieval systems where required.
- Implement data validation, error handling, logging, and performance improvements for backend services.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Write clean, modular, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Debug issues, write unit tests, and contribute to code reviews.
- Explore emerging AI tools, frameworks, and techniques to improve product capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python.
- Basic understanding of backend development and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Basic understanding of AI, machine learning, or generative AI concepts.
- Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, or LLM API integration.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with Git and version control.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
