About the role
This is a hands-on technical leadership role, not a SOC analyst or a manager. We want someone who can engineer and operate security platforms while mentoring a team. Senior Security Platform Engineer who can lead.
Responsibilities:
- Run and Improve Security Platforms (the main job): Day-to-day operation of enterprise security tools, configuring, patching, upgrading, troubleshooting, and automating them. They explicitly want an engineering mindset, meaning you should constantly be looking to automate and improve, not just keep the lights on.
- Incident Engineering: Support When something breaks badly, you're the senior person who digs into platform behavior, finds the root cause, and drives the fix. This is not SOC alert monitoring; it's a deeper platform-level investigation.
- Technical Leadership: Senior escalation point, mentor to junior engineers, champion of good engineering practices. Line management is possible but not the main focus.
- Continuous Improvement: Driving automation initiatives, better observability, reducing toil, and feeding into global platform roadmaps.
