Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Lead Data Engineer with deep Snowflake expertise and some exposure to data architecture. In this role, you will build high-performance data pipelines, design efficient data models, and contribute to scalable data architectures that support analytics and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end design, implement, and optimize Snowflake-based data solutions
Build and optimize data models for analytics, reporting, and operational use
Collaborate with teams to define and improve data architecture patterns
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across pipelines and Snowflake environments
Optimize Snowflake performance, scalability, and cost using advanced features (Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Cloning, etc.)
Provide guidance on best practices for data modelling, pipeline design, and Snowflake development
Mentor team members on data engineering techniques and architecture considerations
Required Skills
Expert in Snowflake: schema design, performance tuning, and advanced features
Strong programming skills in Python for ETL/ELT and automation
Hands-on experience with tools such as dbt, Fivetran, Matillion
Advanced SQL skills for complex queries and transformations
Experience in data modelling (dimensional, relational, hybrid)
Exposure to data architecture concepts and scalable design patterns
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Good to Have
Familiarity with real-time streaming and event-driven architectures
Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and security frameworks
