Lead Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled CUDA Software Engineer to develop and optimize high-performance GPU-accelerated algorithms specifically for ophthalmic imaging and AI applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining CUDA/C++ software for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and image processing pipelines. This role requires a strong focus on performance profiling and optimization, as well as the ability to port research algorithms into production-quality code. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with algorithm scientists, software engineers, and system architects to deliver scalable and efficient solutions that support algorithm integration into medical devices.

• Develop and optimize GPU-accelerated algorithms for ophthalmic imaging and AI applications.
• Implement and maintain CUDA/C++ software for OCT and image processing pipelines.
• Profile and optimize software performance to ensure high efficiency and scalability.
• Port research algorithms into production-quality code, ensuring robustness and reliability.
• Support the integration of algorithms into medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve them effectively.
• Collaborate with algorithm scientists, software engineers, and system architects to design and implement innovative solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.

• Proficiency in CUDA and GPU programming.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ software development.
• Experience in performance profiling and optimization techniques.
• Solid understanding of image processing and computer vision principles.
• Familiarity with multi-threaded and high-performance computing.
• Experience working in a Linux development environment.
• Strong software debugging skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.

• Experience with medical imaging or scientific computing.
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and tools.

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees are preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in software development, particularly in CUDA and C++, along with a passion for developing innovative solutions in the field of medical imaging and AI.
