About the role
Conduct legal scrutiny of property documents for Home Loans, LAP (Loan Against Property), and other secured lending products. Verify title deeds, sale deeds, agreement copies, encumbrance certificates, property tax receipts, and other legal documents. Coordinate with empaneled advocates for legal opinions and property verification reports. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company credit policies. Identify legal risks associated with proposed lending transactions and recommend suitable mitigants. Review and validate mortgage creation documentation. Handle documentation related to loan disbursement and security creation. Support recovery and collection teams in legal proceedings involving default accounts. Liaise with customers, advocates, builders, and government authorities for legal clarifications. Maintain legal records, reports, and compliance documentation.
