Required Technical Skill Set •Strong proficiency in LookML for developing and maintaining models, views, explores, dimensions, and measures. •Ability to map database schemas to LookML and build scalable semantic layers. •Ability to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries used within Looker for data validation and model development. •Experience designing dashboards, visualizations, and interactive reports in Looker with best‑practice UX and data storytelling. •Understanding of Looker’s interface, including the IDE, LookML Validator, SQL Runner, and project configuration. •Skills in tuning LookML models, optimizing queries, managing PDTs, and improving dashboard load times. •Ability to work with engineers, business analysts, product owners, and end‑users to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions. •Skills in debugging LookML code, resolving model issues, validating data, and performing UAT cycles. •Ability to support platform administration tasks: user/role setup, content governance, Git integration, and system configuration. •Understanding of deployment workflows and supporting Looker as an enterprise BI platform.
