Job Description for Mainframe Senior TSO role
Looking for Mainframe Senior TSO role with 6 to 9 years of experience in Hyderabad
location who can join Immediate to 20 days of notice.
Qualifications:
Primary skillset: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM
Secondary skillset: Assembler, EZtrieve
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software maintenance and support in
mainframe languages (COBOL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM)
Possesses technical knowledge based on experience and skilled in (COBOL,
CICS, DB2, and VSAM)
Good experience with EZtrieve and Endevor is preferred
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Demonstrated skills in exercising initiative, good judgment, and making sound
technical decisions
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to propose and assess the appropriateness and quality of solutions for
moderate to complex solutions
Experience with mainframe debugging tools.
Responsibilities:
Work on application support and maintenance for multiple applications
Ensure that applications run efficiently and are optimized for performance.
Serve as technical SME of supported applications for multiple projects and
initiatives
Work with business team to identify requirements and propose resolution
paths for various projects
Be a technical contact for application related questions, access administrator,
user ticket resolution, audit responses, Manage releases and co-ordinate
upgrades
Provide cross-training to team members
Debug and resolve technical issues.
Perform analysis, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of mainframe
software applications
Internal
Create technical documentation and user manuals to support mainframe
applications
Provide mainframe expertise guidance to junior developers
Expected to learn quickly on the job about the systems and deliver time
critical enhancements in a fast-paced team
Attend meetings and provide updates
Provide support to delivery for technical issues, escalations and reviews and
to help in deploying in a customer environment.
Create documentation of operational tasks, procedures and automated
processes.
Fix faults and restore the operability or carry out suitable measures (creation
of workaround)
