About the role
- Lead plant procurement activities covering CAPEX, MRO, OPEX, packaging materials and engineering items.
- Manage procurement of injection moulds, pharma/medical device components, packaging materials, masterbatches, sleeves and other accessories.
- Manage procurement of Nasal Spray procurement specific procurement experience is purely on Raw material (Resin and Additives) and separate bought out parts from reputed internal suppliers approved under the DMF category, understand the supplier base and pricing mechanism along with the qualitative requirements for such procurement experience.
- Handle the complete procurement cycle including RFQ, supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, commercial finalization and PO execution.
- Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings and scope of work to understand procurement requirements.
- Drive supplier development, vendor qualification and supplier performance management.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction and value-engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate with Plant, Engineering, Projects, Quality, Finance and other stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and supply.
- Manage logistics, material movement, delivery schedules and vendor-side production planning to maintain inventory availability.
- Monitor supplier performance through cost, quality, delivery and SLA dashboards.
- Handle contract performance, warranty, damages, insurance, reconciliation and supplier disputes.
- Manage scrap sales generated from plant operations.
- Ensure adherence to procurement processes, trade compliance, statutory requirements and applicable regulations.
- Maintain purchase records, reports, price lists and supplier databases.
- Experience: 10+ Years
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Electrical
- Preferred: MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain / Procurement
- 10+ years of relevant procurement experience in manufacturing/engineering organizations, with mandatory hands-on experience in Pharma/Medical Device procurement and Injection Moulding/Mould procurement.
- Experience in direct and indirect procurement, including CAPEX, MRO/OPEX and packaging materials.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, negotiation and cost optimization.
- Exposure to pharma packaging, medical devices, plastics, injection moulding or related manufacturing industries.
- Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Telugu-speaking ability will be an added advantage.
- 6-day working
