Category Management: Standardization - Drive standardization of MRO items procured by pursuing for UMCs, Category risk management - Assessment of risk & mitigation plans, Category strategy & Category segmentation - Finalize segmentation for related categories & decide on annual plan - Spend analysis
Short term demand planning & managing schedule lines: In-bound supply chain & delivery compliance (accountable), Inventory management for store stock items / administration of MRP,Vendor payments (accountable),Supply chain management for imports, Delivery follow-up (accountable),Clearance of goods at port (accountable), Delivery from port to plant.
Strategic Supplier Management : Vendor panel management – develop small, core set of suppliers ,Strategic evaluation & segmentation of vendor panel – drive vendor evaluation & ranking , Reduce the extent of proprietary buy within each material group in a phased manner Development of vendors & capability building – expansion of business & identifying new vendors (jointly with Vendor Development team) Escalation of quality issues / claims management.
Tendering & Negotiations: Administer and manage the RFQ and contracting process, Negotiations and contract finalization, applying detailed cost modelling • Design tendering and contracting strategy (Reverse auction etc.), Business share allocation in line with vendor panel segmentation, Contract Management, Review and harmonize contracting terms, clauses, risk management, Renegotiations/Dispute management, Change orders & price /contract amendments as may be needed, Tracking of value/contract limits and providing necessary intimation / commencing renewal cycle on time ,Drive continuous improvements in procure to pay process for categories under purview
Contract Management : Review and harmonize contracting terms, clauses, risk management, Renegotiations/ Dispute management, Change orders & price / contract amendments as maybe needed, Tracking of value / contract limits and providing necessary intimation / commencing renewal cycle on time Continuous availability of services.
Warehouse Management- ensuring delivery of all auto posted and other emergency requirement of customer in steel works and outside if required, Utilize resources efficiently and cost effectively in the delivery process from Warehouses to delivery point on the same day, To manage Rejection and removal of rejected materials, Close coordination with Shops and the customer departments, Rollout and manage implementation of central warehouse project ,Plan & Ensure availability of all steel items for the plant, Ensure FIFO for HD,Optimization of Inventory,Implementation of 5s.Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability. Identify specifications / initiatives that align with aspects of Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability.Process IT : Drive continuous improvements in procure to pay process for categories under purview with support of Sr Manager – Process & HSE (Accountable), Ensure timely completion of Contracting cycle providing adequate time for closure of contracts, Reducing repetitive complaints being logged by Procare - Monitor & close complaints logged in Procare in respective area, Responsible for TQM rollout - Daily Management ,Policy Management - Logging & closure of improvement projects, - Active participation in Suggestion & Knowledge management, Reviewing & Updating related documents in QMS.
