About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements, user stories, user flows, and functional specifications to identify test scenarios
- Design, review, and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing
- Identify, document, and track software defects and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with the development team
- Participate in requirement review meetings and provide feedback from a QA perspective
- Generate and share test execution and quality reports
- Work closely with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve issues
- Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test execution cycles
- Ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Manual QA, preferably with experience testing mobile
- applications (Android / iOS)
- Strong foundation in software testing fundamentals, including SDLC, STLC, and the defect
- life cycle
- Strong understanding of black box test design techniques, such as Equivalence Partitioning,
- Boundary Value Analysis, Decision Table Testing, and State Transition Testing
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (Testiny, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.)
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate quality issues clearly
- Ability to design and document clear, concise, and well-structured test cases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and collaboration within cross-functional teams
- Basic knowledge of API testing (Postman)
- Experience in POS, Fintech, or transaction-based systems
- Knowledge of test automation concepts (not mandatory)
- Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages is a plus, but not mandatory
- ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification or equivalent testing certification
