Job Title: Senior Manual QA Engineer (6+ years)

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite / Hybrid as applicable)

We are looking for an experienced QA professional with 6 or more years of hands-on experience in manual testing (preferably in addition to some automation exposure) to join our quality engineering team in Bengaluru. You will be responsible for defining test strategy, designing and executing test plans, collaborating closely with development and product teams, and driving quality across the software life-cycle.

• Work with product managers, business analysts and developers to understand functional & non-functional requirements.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features, enhancements, bug fixes and regression.
• Execute manual test cases across Web, Mobile (Android/iOS) and API layers, as needed.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, usability and acceptance testing.
• Validate backend systems via SQL / database queries, data verification, logs, etc.
• Report, track and assist resolution of defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla or similar.
• Provide clear test summary reports and quality status updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospective) and coordinate testing activities with the sprint team.
• Identify opportunities to improve the QA process, test coverage, test data management, environment stability, and automation hand-off.
• (Optional but preferred) Work with automation engineers to identify test cases suitable for automation and support automation effort.

• 6+ years of experience in software testing / QA, with substantial experience in manual testing.
• Solid understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
• Strong experience in designing and executing test cases, test suites, and test scenarios.
• Experience testing Web applications, and ideally Mobile apps and/or APIs.
• Hands-on in backend/DB testing – able to write and execute SQL queries for data verification.
• Experience with test/defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, Bugzilla).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging and investigative skills.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; able to articulate test status, issues and risks.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or equivalent technical qualification.

• Exposure to some automation testing (Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, etc.).
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, ReadyAPI.
• Experience in performance, security or non-functional testing.
• Domain knowledge in FinTech, e-commerce, SaaS, Data/Analytics, etc.
• Experience mentoring junior testers or leading a small QA team.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, test integration in pipelines.
