About the role
- Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles
- Complete preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, Tyre rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints
- Conduct inspections, repair engine failures, repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions
- Replace parts and components, repair body damage
- Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives
- Adjust controls and systems
- Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
- Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting
