Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Retrofit Powertrains
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in designing and developing retrofit
powertrains for three-wheeler auto-rickshaws. The ideal candidate must have a strong automotive
background, hands-on experience with tools like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and Ansys, and the ability
to work with power tools. Knowledge in vehicle dynamics, gearbox calculations, and basic electrical
systems will be an advantage. The candidate should possess 4-7 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and optimize retrofit powertrains for three-wheeler auto-rickshaws.
• Create detailed 3D models and simulations using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and Ansys.
• Conduct analyses related to vehicle dynamics, structural integrity, and thermal performance.
• Perform gearbox calculations and support drivetrain and transmission system development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for prototyping, testing, and validation.
• Use and maintain power tools like grinders, drillers, and welding machines for design and
testing tasks.
• Ensure designs comply with automotive standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to support development
processes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a
related field.
• 4-7 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in powertrain or retrofit
solutions.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and simulation tools (Ansys).
• Hands-on experience with power tools such as grinders, drillers, and welding machines.
• Familiarity with vehicle dynamics, gearbox design, and basic electrical systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
Location: Coimbatore
Reports To: Technical Manager, R&D Manager, or CEO.
Salary:- upto 30k
