Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Mobile Development Intern to support feature development, bug fixing, testing, and day-to-day engineering across A1Apps’ iOS and Android applications. The intern will work with senior developers, take on scoped tasks on either platform, and build practical experience with production mobile apps and a shared, cross-platform team workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation of app features and improvements on iOS and Android, with initial tasks matched to the intern’s strengths and learning plan.
- Learn and contribute to the other native platform as team priorities require.
- Help debug issues, fix scoped bugs, and improve app stability and quality.
- Work with platform UI components, navigation, APIs, and JSON-based integrations.
- Write readable code, test changes, and participate in code reviews; apply feedback from senior developers.
- Collaborate with the mobile team on engineering tasks, communicate progress, and follow work through to completion.
- Learn and apply platform development workflows and basic mobile architecture in a production environment.
- Foundational programming and mobile development knowledge in at least one native platform: Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android.
- Familiarity with the corresponding development environment: Xcode for iOS or Android Studio for Android.
- Basic understanding of mobile UI and navigation concepts, app structure, REST APIs, JSON, and platform-specific development fundamentals.
- Basic Git/version-control knowledge and comfort debugging simple issues.
- Interest and willingness to learn the second platform and contribute across both iOS and Android over time.
- Good problem-solving, learning, communication, and collaboration habits.
- Hands-on exposure to both iOS and Android, or a project that demonstrates learning across platforms.
- Experience with UIKit/SwiftUI and ViewControllers on iOS, or Activities/Fragments and Jetpack Compose/XML on Android.
- Exposure to Firebase, third-party SDK integration, automated testing, or app release workflows.
- Mobile app work through personal projects, coursework, internships, or hackathons.
