About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services. NET Core.
- Build and optimise RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, efficient, testable, and maintainable code.
- Utilize AI tools to maximise development productivity.
- Optimize database queries and ensure high performance for data-intensive operations.
- Implement caching and messaging solutions to improve performance and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Prepare for and support a future transition to Java-based backend systems.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in backend development using. NET Core.
- Strong programming skills in C#.
- Experience with ASP. NET Core MVC, Web API, and WCF.
- Solid understanding of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, and concurrency.
- Experience with MySQL, SQL Server, or equivalent relational databases.
- Strong expertise in SQL programming and query optimisation for large datasets.
- Familiarity with caching solutions such as Redis.
- Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ, Kafka, or AWS SQS.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS, Azure/GCP).
- Exposure to analytics, observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Strong logical thinking and foundation in software design principles.
- Willingness to learn and transition to a Java stack over time.
