About the role
We are looking for a network Security Firewall Engineer with hands-on experience in managing enterprise firewall infrastructure within the banking domain. The candidate will be responsible for firewall administration, VPN management, network security, incident response, and ensuring compliance with banking security standards.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage Next-Generation Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco Firepower/ASA).
- Implement and troubleshoot VPNs, NAT, ACLs, and firewall policies.
- Monitor security events and respond to network security incidents.
- Perform firewall rule reviews, security hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support security audits and ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 and RBI guidelines.
- Collaborate with Network, SOC, and Infrastructure teams.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with NGFWs (Palo Alto/Fortinet/Check Point/Cisco).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VPN, IPS/IDS, and WAF.
- Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
- Understanding of banking security standards and regulatory compliance.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Preferred Certifications: PCNSE, NSE 4/5 CCSA/CCSE, CCNP Security, CEH, CISSP.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field with 4-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking/BFSI domain.
