About the role

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Oracle EBS - Technical Development:

  • Develop and maintain custom extensions using PL/SQL (packages, procedures, functions, and triggers), Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and OA Framework (OAF) personalizations/extensions.
  • Build and support interfaces, conversions, extensions, and reports (RICE/CEMLI components) across AR, AP, GL, INV, PO, and OM modules.
  • Design and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and batch processing jobs. Troubleshoot performance issues in concurrent programs and scheduled processes.
  • Work with Oracle Workflow Builder for approval flows and notification customizations.
  • Support patching, cloning, and environment management activities in coordination with the DBA team.

Oracle Fusion Cloud - Technical Development:

  • Build reports and analytics using OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) and BIP (BI Publisher) for Fusion Cloud modules, including Financials, Procurement, and SCM.
  • Develop page-level extensions and customizations using Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and Application Composer.
  • Work with Fusion's extensibility framework sandboxes, page composer, custom subject areas, and Groovy scripting for business rule customizations.
  • Support data migration activities using FBDI (File-Based Data Import) and HDL (HCM Data Loader) templates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Fusion Cloud environments, working with Oracle Support where required.

IntegrationOIC, ISG, APIs, and Connectors:

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Gen3 including application-driven and schedule-driven orchestrations, mappings, lookups, error handling, and monitoring.
  • Work with Integration Service Gateway (ISG) to expose and consume Oracle EBS APIs as REST/SOAP services for real-time integration with external platforms.
  • Configure and manage agent-based connectors in OIC for secure connectivity between Fusion Cloud/OIC and on-premises EBS instances.
  • Design and implement REST and SOAP API integrations with third-party systems, including tax compliance platforms (Cleartax, SOVOS), T& E platforms (Happay, SAP Concur), and custom middleware.
  • Build file-based integrations (SFTP, FTP, AS2) for batch processing scenarios inbound and outbound.
  • Implement error handling, retry logic, dead letter queues, and monitoring/alerting for all integration flows.
  • Produce integration technical specifications, data mapping documents, and runbooks as standard project deliverables.

Delivery and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical designs and deliverables.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, SIT support, and UAT defect resolution.
  • Support production deployments, go-live activities, and post-go-live hypercare.
  • Maintain technical documentation, design specs, code comments, deployment guides, and integration runbooks.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and DBA teams across project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in Oracle EBS and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud technical development.
  • Minimum 2 full-cycle ERP implementations or major upgrade/migration projects involving technical development and integration workstreams.
  • Hands-on OIC experience is non-negotiable; candidates must have built and supported live integrations on OIC, not just classroom/certification exposure.
  • Experience at an Oracle SI/implementation partner, an IT consulting firm, or an enterprise IT team running Oracle ERP is strongly preferred.
  • Oracle certifications (Fusion Cloud Technical, OIC, PL/SQL) are a plus but not mandatory if hands-on experience is demonstrable.

Must Have:

  • Oracle EBS technical stack: PL/SQL (advanced), Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, OA Framework, Workflow Builder, Concurrent Programs, RICE/CEMLI methodology.
  • Oracle Fusion Cloud technical stack: OTBI, BIP, VBCS, Application Composer, Sandboxes, Page Composer, FBDI/HDL, and Groovy scripting basics.
  • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Gen3 Hands-on experience building integrations, orchestrations, mappings, lookups, connections, error handling, and monitoring dashboards.
  • Integration Service Gateway (ISG): Experience exposing EBS APIs as REST/SOAP services and consuming them from external platforms or OIC.
  • Agent-based connectors: Experience configuring the OIC Connectivity Agent for on-premises EBS connectivity in hybrid integration architectures.
  • REST and SOAP APIs: Strong working knowledge of API design patterns, payload structures (JSON/XML), authentication (OAuth, Basic, Token), and debugging tools (Postman, SOAP UI).
  • SQL and database: Advanced SQL, performance tuning, Oracle DB fundamentals, scheduled jobs, and batch processing.
  • Understanding of Oracle ERP module data models, particularly AR, AP, GL, INV, PO, and OM.
  • Strong documentation skills: technical specs, data mappings, and integration runbooks.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle APEX, or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms beyond Oracle MuleSoft, Boomi, or custom. NET/Python connectors.
  • Exposure to tax compliance or e-invoicing integrations (Cleartax, SOVOS, ZATCA, LHDN).
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) compute, storage, and networking basics.
  • Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices for ERP environments.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodology.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work across Oracle EBS and Fusion Cloud; this is not a single-stack role. Projects will require fluency across both.
  • Comfort working on integration-heavy engagements where connecting systems is the primary deliverable, not just ERP customization.
  • Ability to work independently on technical workstreams and own deliverables end-to-end with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work across time zones when projects involve international client teams (GCC, SEA, EU).
  • Experience in client-facing or distributed team environments is a plus.
