Performance test engineer with Azure cloud

We are seeking a skilled Performance Test Engineer with over 4 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and a strong understanding of Azure Cloud services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability of applications hosted in Azure by executing comprehensive performance and load testing strategies.

• Design, develop, and execute performance test plans, scripts, and scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
• Conduct load, stress, soak, and spike testing for applications deployed in Azure environments.
• Monitor application performance during testing using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or third-party APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic).
• Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and work closely with developers and architects to optimize system performance.
• Participate in performance tuning, root cause analysis, and capacity planning efforts.
• Create detailed test reports, dashboards, and documentation for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure scalability and performance standards are met for all releases.

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering.
• Strong expertise in tools like Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, or similar.
• Solid experience in Azure Cloud platform (IaaS, PaaS) – preferably with experience in Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Azure Storage.
• Familiarity with monitoring and diagnostic tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights.
• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Good understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and containerized applications (Docker/Kubernetes is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-204, or AZ-900) are a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) is an added advantage.
