About the role
Role: Procurement Executive
Reporting to: Lead – Procurement and Stores
Purpose: To perform services related to timely procurement processing so that goods and services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsibility:
·Timely and cost-effective procurement of MRO items - capital goods/ engineering goods/ spares/consumables and services which meets quality standards and daily requirements of industry.
·Finalization of services like especially civil, mechanical, AMC / ARC, breakdown / shutdown, manpower based on minimum wages etc. by ensuring Contractor safety management standard & compliances.
·Float RFQ, collecting offers from suppliers, preparation of comparison statement, raising approval note in SAP system and preparation of purchase order and contracts.
·Negotiate with vendors and finalize the purchase order as per predefined SOP.
·Track order and ensuring of timely delivery of materials.
·Coordinate with cross functional teams for supply chain activities – following up with vendors for on time delivery and resolution of any urgency and payment release in time.
·Reduce overall cost by developing alternate vendors and OEM substitutions.
·Develop annual rate contracts for regular consuming goods and spares to have economical advantage and reduced lead time.
·Maintain supplier data and preparation of monthly MIS reports.
·Knowledge of specific SAP modules such as SAP MM (Materials Management)
·Familiarity with ARIBA’s e-procurement functions, such as supplier management, sourcing, purchase order management, and invoice reconciliation.
Educational Qualification: BE/ B-Tech Mechanical or any other discipline
Years of Experience: 6to10 years of experience in similar capacity
Knowledge:
·Knowledge of SAP.
·Knowledge of P2P Cycle.
·Knowledge of AMC and ARC.
·Ability to assess supplier capability.
·Knowledge of Slow moving, non-moving and fast-moving goods, etc.
·Knowledge of taxation rules, minimum wages, etc.
