About the role
TechnoIdentity is looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Expert to manage, optimize, and scale high-performance database systems. The role involves working on complex data environments, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and database security for enterprise-grade applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain PostgreSQL databases for high-traffic applications.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
- Handle database migrations, upgrades, and version management.
- Ensure high availability, replication, and backup and recovery strategies.
- Monitor database health, capacity planning, and performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in production.
- Work closely with application, DevOps, and architecture teams.
- Ensure database security, access control, and compliance best practices.
- Create and maintain database documentation and standards.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
- Strong expertise in SQL, query optimization, and indexing.
- Experience with performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of replication, clustering, and high availability.
- Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Strong understanding of database security and role management.
- Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
Good to Have:
- Experience with cloud databases (AWS RDS / GCP / Azure).
- Exposure to DevOps tools and automation.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise systems.
