About the role
The Power BI Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. The role involves working closely with KEC SAP S4HANA/B4HANA consultants and business stakeholders to translate data into meaningful insights, dashboards, and reports to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from multiple data sources.
- Optimize Power BI performance and ensure best practices in data modeling.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance standards.
- Integrate Power BI with Azure, SQL Server, SAP, and other enterprise systems.
- Support users with training, documentation, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with IT, data engineers, and business teams.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies.
Requirements:
- Strong experience in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop, Service, Gateway).
- Proficiency in DAX and Power Query (M language).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Experience with data modeling and dimensional modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse - preferred).
- Understanding of data governance, security, and performance optimization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant Microsoft Power BI certifications will be an added advantage.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in BI / Analytics roles (can be adjusted based on seniority).
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with SAP BW/HANA or SAP Datasphere integration.
- Exposure to Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Experience in ETL tools and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Knowledge of Tableau, Qlik, or other BI tools is an added advantage.
