Whatyou'lldo
- Build, design,testand industrialize power converter hardware for use in grid and energy product applications
- Work onnew power electronics topologies that have superior performance
- Ownershipof hardware – from specification to design, prototype, reliabilityvalidationand production
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, thermal, PCB layout, firmware,manufacturingand testing teams tovalidateand manufacture Ayr products
- Define and execute validation test plans including structural, thermal, and environmental testing.
Qualifications
- First Principles Thinking
- Strong understanding of power converter topologies – both theory and practical design
- Relevanthands-on hardware experience in design and industrialization of power converter products
- Experience with high voltage power semiconductorselection(IGBTs, Si/SiC/GaNMOSFET’s, and Diodes), design of gate drive andanalog/digital sensing circuits
- Understanding of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (film, ceramic and electrolytic) for high voltage and high frequency power conversion
- Knowledge of basic control theory and experience with embedded programming
- Extensive hands-on experience with advanced digital and HV circuit bring-up and troubleshooting
- Awareness of UL and CE electrical safety requirements; EMC requirements relevant to the design of power converters is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communications in English
