About the role
Requirements:
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with significant time in senior/staff/principal IC roles.
- Strong experience as a backend developer building scalable, high-performance systems.
- Hands-on coding expertise in languages such as Java, Python, Go, or similar backend technologies.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud-native platforms.
- Strong experience with system design, scalability, reliability, and performance optimisation.
- Experience working in product organisations building customer-facing platforms.
- Strong problem-solving ability and capability to operate at both the architecture and implementation levels.
- Excellent communication and ability to influence engineering teams without formal authority.
