About the role
We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer in Flutter to lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable mobile applications. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Flutter and Dart, along with experience in mobile architecture, performance optimization, and technical leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
- Own the technical architecture and engineering decisions for mobile applications.
- Build reusable, maintainable, and high-performance Flutter components.
- Work closely with product, design, backend, and QA teams to deliver quality products.
- Drive best practices around coding standards, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
- Mentor and guide senior engineers and contribute to the overall engineering culture.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that improve the mobile platform.
- Ensure applications are optimized for both Android and iOS platforms.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Flutter and Dart.
- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture and design patterns.
- Experience building and scaling production-grade mobile applications.
- Strong understanding of Android and iOS platforms.
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Good knowledge of performance optimization and debugging.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Strong problem-solving and technical leadership skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with clean architecture, BLoC/provider/Riverpod or similar state-management approaches.
- Experience with Firebase and mobile analytics/crash-reporting tools.
- Experience with automated mobile testing.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
- Exposure to cloud-based application ecosystems.
- Someone who is strongly hands-on with Flutter, can make architecture-level decisions, and has the technical depth to solve complex mobile engineering problems while mentoring other engineers.
