Job Title: Procurement Manager - Raw Material

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in Bengaluru. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials in accordance with the company's business needs and goals. This individual will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the entire life-cycle of the procurement process, maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, and ensuring the materials needed for production are available and meet the company's standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
2. Perform all procurement and contracting activities including pre-qualification, tender management, negotiation and preparation of contracts.
3. Set policy and guidelines for delivering commercial and cost-effective procuring process for the business.
4. Oversee the purchase order tracking system and ensure purchases are processed in a timely manner.
5. Develop strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure product quality and competitive pricing.
6. Implement process improvements to streamline purchasing processes.
7. Maintain records of supplier contracts, agreements, and related documentation.
8. Prepare reports and updates for senior management.
9. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in order to effectively maintain supply chain efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2. 4-6 years of experience in procurement or a similar role.
3. Proven experience in pricing negotiations and vendor management.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and purchasing software.
5. Strong leadership and project management abilities.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in materials management in the manufacturing industry.
2. Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
3. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
