About the role
This role sits at the intersection of Product and Marketing/Growth, the two teams that depend most heavily on user and transaction data but often ask different questions of it. We need someone who can serve both without dropping either.
Responsibilities:
- Own and continuously monitor the consumer funnel end-to-end: acquisition, activation, transaction, and retention; flag drop-offs to the relevant team (product or marketing) with a diagnosis, not just a number.
- Act as the analytics point of contact for both product and marketing/growth, prioritizing and fulfilling requests from both without one crowding out the other.
- Pull and reconcile data across multiple sources, product/transaction databases, CleverTap, GA4, and CRM into a single consistent view.
- Build and maintain dashboards (Power BI) for leadership, product, and marketing stakeholders; automate recurring reports to reduce manual pulls.
- Support design and readout of A/B tests, both product feature tests and marketing campaign/offer tests.
- Proactively surface the "why" behind metric movements (a funnel drop, a campaign underperforming, a feature not landing) and recommend next steps.
- Query and analyze large-scale consumer transaction and event data using SQL.
- Handle ad-hoc data requests and use scripting (Python preferred) to speed up recurring or complex analysis.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in product analytics, data analytics, or growth analytics, ideally in a B2C/consumer internet environment (fintech, mobility, e-commerce, or similar high-transaction-volume products).
- Strong hands-on SQL; able to write complex queries and work independently with large datasets.
- Working knowledge of Power BI (or similar BI tools) for dashboarding and reporting.
- Basic to intermediate scripting ability (Python preferred) for automation and analysis.
- Solid grounding in funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and A/B testing; able to speak both "product" and "marketing" language around these concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to work across two stakeholder groups with different priorities, without needing constant hand-holding on what matters to each.
- A growth mindset; proactive, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and driven to identify opportunities rather than just fulfill data requests.
- Strong communication; able to translate data findings into clear recommendations for both product and marketing audiences.
