Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Product Design & Development.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in electrical/electromechanical product design.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Design Engineer with 3-4 years of experience in electromechanical product design and development. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving electrical and electromechanical products, creating engineering documentation, supporting new product development activities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective and manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electromechanical products from concept to production release.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, engineering drawings, installation drawings, and product documentation.
• Participate in New Product Development (NPD) activities and support product enhancements.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change documentation, and design records.
• Work closely with manufacturing, sourcing, quality, suppliers, and cross-functional teams during product development.
• Support prototype development, product validation, and troubleshooting activities.

Technical Skills & Experience

CAD & PLM Tools

• Mandatory experience in PTC Creo, Experience with AutoCAD and other 3D CAD design tools, Knowledge of Windchill is preferred or Experience with any Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software is desirable.

Product Design Expertise

• Hands-on experience in electromechanical product design and development.
• Strong experience in:
• Plastic product design
• Sheet metal product design
• Mechanical packaging design
• Component integration and assembly design
• Experience in creating:
• 3D Parts & Assemblies
• Manufacturing Drawings
• Installation Drawings
• Engineering Documentation

Engineering Knowledge

• Strong understanding of:
• Engineering plastics, metals, coatings, and plating processes
• Material selection for performance, manufacturability, and cost optimization
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Tolerance stack-up analysis
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Design for Assembly (DFA)

Manufacturing & Quality

• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes for plastic and sheet, metal components.
• Experience in:
• Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and management
• Design Risk identification and mitigation during product development

Electrical & Electromechanical Knowledge

• Good understanding of:
• Electromechanical assemblies and components
• Hands-on experience with:
• Contactors
• MPCBs (Motor Protection Circuit Breakers)
• Overload Relays
