About the role
Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership: Translate the product roadmap for the STB Device Management platform. Translate business objectives into product features, epics, and user stories. Prioritise backlog based on customer value, operational impact, and technical feasibility. Collaborate with engineering, architecture, operations, QA, security, and business stakeholders. Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management from ideation to release and optimisation.
- Device Management and Platform Capabilities: Lead development and enhancement of capabilities, including: Device onboarding and provisioning, Remote configuration management, Firmware and software updates (OTA), Device telemetry and monitoring, Fault diagnostics and troubleshooting, Device inventory and lifecycle management, Security and compliance management, Remote reboot and recovery operations, Service assurance and operational analytics.
- Ensure the platform supports scalable management of millions of connected STB devices.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Act as the primary product interface for external DMS vendors and technology partners. Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party device management platforms and integrations.
- Coordinate with vendors on feature roadmap alignment, issue resolution, and release planning.
- Define integration requirements, APIs, SLAs, KPIs, and operational governance models.
- Drive interoperability between internal systems and vendor solutions.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual and operational expectations.
- Lead technical and functional workshops with external partners and suppliers.
- Collaborate with procurement, architecture, and legal teams during vendor evaluations and contract discussions.
- AI and Intelligent Operations Apply AI/ML concepts to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Define and implement AI-enabled use cases such as: Predictive device failure detection, Automated incident triaging, Intelligent root cause analysis, Anomaly detection from telemetry data, AI-driven customer experience analytics, Smart remediation recommendations, Generative AI-based operational support assistant, AI-powered self-healing and automation workflows.
- Work with data engineering and AI teams to integrate ML models into operational platforms.
- Agile and Delivery Management Act as Product Owner within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Conduct sprint planning, backlog grooming, and acceptance testing.
- Define KPIs and success metrics for product features.
- Coordinate releases, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
- Ensure alignment across internal teams and external vendors.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in Product Management / Product Ownership with telecom, IPTV, OTT, or device management platforms.
- We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Product Owner to lead the evolution of our Set-Top Box Device Management Solution.
- The ideal candidate will drive the product vision, roadmap, and delivery of a scalable platform that manages the lifecycle, monitoring, provisioning, diagnostics, firmware updates, and AI-enabled operations of STB devices across large customer deployments.
- The role also requires close collaboration with 3rd party Device Management Solution (DMS) vendors, system integrators, and technology partners to ensure seamless platform integration, operational excellence, and continuous innovation.
- This position requires a combination of business acumen, customer-centric thinking, technical depth, Agile leadership, vendor management expertise, and hands-on understanding of AI/ML-driven operational intelligence.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management/Product Ownership.
- Strong understanding of: IPTV / OTT ecosystems, Set-Top Box technologies, Device Management Systems (DMS), TR-069 / TR-369 / RDK / Android TV ecosystems, Cloud-native architectures and microservices.
