Position Overview
The Product Research Specialist will lead a year-round, in-depth analysis of the Gujarat K-12 educational market and school landscape. This role is pivotal in identifying emerging trends, evaluating existing curriculum requirements, and pinpointing opportunities for new educational book development for Classes 1 to 12. The specialist will collaborate closely with the publishing department to conceptualize and champion innovative, curriculum-aligned products that meet market needs and uphold the prestigious standards of the institution.
· Market Analysis & Trend Spotting: Collaborate closely with sales / marketing team andconduct continuous research into the Indian (particularly Gujarat) educational ecosystem, including government education policies, pedagogical shifts, and technological integrations in learning.
· Curriculum & Board Expertise: Develop deep expertise in the syllabi and examination patterns of key educational boards in India, particularly the Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Monitor changes to the National Curriculum Framework (NCF).
· School & User Feedback: Establish robust feedback loops with school administrators, principals, teachers, booksellers and students to understand pain points, content gaps, and preferences for educational materials.
· Competitive Intelligence: Benchmark existing products from major educational publishers, analyzing their strengths, weaknesses, and market penetration to design a product strategy.
· Product Conceptualization & Strategy: Translate research insights into concrete proposals for new book series, supplementary materials, and digital learning resources.
· Collaboration: Work alongside the publishing and the sales/marketing teams to ensure product concepts are viable, well-executed, and aligned with market demands.
