Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Data Support Engineer to provide end-to-end support and maintenance for data processes, data pipelines, and data warehouse systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in troubleshooting data workflows, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with development and business teams to resolve production issues effectively.
- Monitor and support daily data jobs, ensuring timely completion and data accuracy.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve job failures or data discrepancies in production systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes for recurring issues.
- Collaborate with developers to enhance data processes and improve performance.
- Manage job scheduling, workflow orchestration, and dependency tracking.
- Support data migration, transformation, and integration between multiple systems.
- Maintain operational logs, documentation, and a support knowledge base.
- Participate in release management and deployment support activities.
- Provide on-call support during production outages or critical incidents.
- 3+ years of experience in data pipeline or production support roles.
- Strong working knowledge of data tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, or similar.
- Solid understanding of SQL (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL).
- Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M, Autosys, Cron).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Basic understanding of Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting.
- Experience in production support environments with SLA-based incident handling.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or GCP Dataflow.
- Experience with Python or shell scripting for automation.
- Knowledge of version control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA).
