Project Leader -Aero Data Management (BOS)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Leader – Aero Data Management (BOS) to lead aerospace engineering data management, product structure governance, and configuration management programs supporting Airbus platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in Airbus engineering processes, aero data management, product lifecycle management (PLM), and the management of engineering data across Structures Design, Equipment System Integration (ESI), Major System Integration (MSI), and Materials & Processes (M&P) domains.

This role is intended for professionals who have developed deep expertise in aerospace data management and engineering processes and have progressed into project or program leadership positions. The role requires strong project management capabilities, technical understanding of Airbus engineering methodologies, stakeholder management, and ownership of end-to-end engineering data governance and delivery.

• Manage multiple concurrent Aero Data Management and engineering data governance projects involving global and cross-functional aerospace teams.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, KPIs, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps aligned with customer and business objectives.
• Lead engineering data management activities supporting Airbus development, modification, and in-service programs.
• Ensure effective management and governance of engineering data across Structures Design, ESI, MSI, and M&P domains.
• Drive configuration management and product structure management activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure engineering data quality, consistency, traceability, and compliance with Airbus standards and processes.
• Coordinate engineering change implementation, data release activities, and configuration control processes.
• Act as the primary customer interface for project reviews, governance meetings, delivery commitments, and escalation management.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, certification, quality, and customer teams to ensure seamless data flow and product definition maturity.
• Lead data migration, data validation, and digital transformation initiatives within PLM environments.
• Establish project dashboards, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to track project performance and delivery status.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, issue resolution, and change management activities.
• Mentor and guide Aero Data Management teams while driving capability development and process improvements.
• Support proposals, effort estimations, solutioning activities, and customer engagements.

• Strong expertise in Aero Data Management (BOS) and engineering data governance principles.
• Deep understanding of Airbus engineering processes, methodologies, and product lifecycle requirements.
• Experience supporting aircraft Structures Design programs and associated engineering data management activities.
• Strong knowledge of Equipment System Integration (ESI) and Major System Integration (MSI) processes.
• Understanding of Materials & Processes (M&P) requirements, standards, and data management practices.
• Expertise in Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM), Product Structures, Part Management, and Configuration Baselines.
• Experience managing engineering releases, design changes, effectivity management, and lifecycle status controls.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, specifications, drawings, and technical data packages.
• Experience with configuration management principles, change control boards, and engineering change processes.
• Hands-on experience with Airbus data management tools, PLM environments, and digital engineering platforms.
• Experience with tools such as Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, SAP, or equivalent PLM/PDM solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data quality, traceability, compliance, and information management processes.

• Experience in proposal development, effort estimation, and customer solutioning.
• Experience working with Airbus, Tier-1 aerospace suppliers, or aerospace engineering service organizations.

This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and governance of engineering data across Airbus aerospace programs. By combining strong Airbus process expertise with leadership in Aero Data Management, the Senior Project Leader will drive efficient engineering execution, configuration control, regulatory compliance, and successful program delivery while enabling scalable engineering operations and business growth.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 10–15 years of experience in Aerospace Engineering Data Management, Configuration Management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Project Management.
• Strong experience supporting Airbus programs and Airbus engineering processes.
• Proven experience managing large-scale aerospace engineering projects involving global teams and stakeholders.
• Experience leading data management activities across Structures Design, ESI, MSI, and M&P domains.
• Demonstrated experience in engineering change management, configuration control, and product structure governance.
