Project Manager - Media Server

Providing direction to team of direct reports on technical and execution front

•Working with Architects, managers and senior managers to understand product requirements, design and create execution plan around those.

•Develop project plans, creating and tracking schedules to ensure on-time and quality deliverable

•People management to create & retain a high performing team

•Interfacing with other sub systems, system testing, PLM teams to get the required information and infrastructure to execute on plans

Knowledge / Skills

•Total 10-14 years of experience

•Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team of sw developers in a formal management role

•Project Management & People Management Experience

•Good understanding product quality metrics and software development processes to achieve those

•Excellent organizational abilities

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•Embedded development experience for telecom core network side products

•Capable of a variety of challenges and developing system level knowledge

•Excellent problem solving skills – with organized and methodical approach

•Strong knowledge of the following:

·C / C++

·TCP/IP Networking

·Multi-threaded programming

·Unix / Linux

·Experience with following protocols: SIP, VXML, H.248, MGCP, SNMP

·Experience on Media Server, Media Gateway, VoIP/IMS network elements

·Embedded development issues (memory constraints, performance, debugging)
