Our client is an established manufacturing organization specializing in pharmaceutical machinery, industrial equipment and engineering solutions.
Job Overview
We are looking for Purchase Engineers with hands-on experience in procurement for machinery or equipment manufacturing companies.
The candidate will be responsible for sourcing engineering components, raw materials and machine parts, vendor development, price negotiation, purchase orders and ensuring timely material availability for production.
Key Responsibilities

Handle purchase requisitions and procurement of raw materials, machine components, engineering parts and other production requirements.

Identify, develop and manage vendors and suppliers.

Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.

Prepare and process purchase orders through ERP systems.

Coordinate with production, stores and engineering teams for material requirements.

Monitor vendor performance, material quality and delivery timelines.

Conduct market research and price comparisons to optimize procurement costs.

Maintain vendor records, purchase documentation and procurement reports.

Track inventory requirements and ensure timely material availability.

Handle import-related procurement documentation wherever required.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering.

2–10 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.

Hands-on experience in machinery, pharmaceutical equipment, packaging machinery, automation or industrial equipment manufacturing is preferred.

Knowledge of engineering components, machine parts and raw material procurement.

Experience in vendor development, negotiation and purchase order management.

Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.

Good communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
