About the role
Responsibilities:
- Source suppliers for aerospace raw materials and standard parts.
- Get quotes from Multiple suppliers and finalise after comparison.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning (PPC), Quality, and Stores for material requirements.
- Develop and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Ensure procurement complies with AS9100 quality requirements and customer specifications where applicable.
- Verify supplier documentation such as Material Test Certificates (MTC), Certificate of Conformance (CoC), and traceability records.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
- Resolve supplier quality issues and support corrective actions.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor master data, and purchase reports.
- Support import procurement and coordinate with logistics and customs when required.
