About the role
- Develop and maintain Python-based test scripts for modem testing in automotive/infotainment or telematics systems.
- Perform testing on modems for cellular networks, including GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G protocols.
- Utilize network simulators (Anritsu, R&S, Keysight) for testing and validation of cellular modem functionalities.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve problems.
- Collaborate with system engineers to improve test coverage and automation processes.
- Ensure the highest quality standards for testing, including regression, performance, and load testing of modem modules.
- Document test plans, procedures, and results for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cellular protocols and modem technology.
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in Python programming, preferably in an automotive, infotainment, or telematics environment.
- Strong understanding of cellular network protocols: GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G.
- Experience with modem testing and using network simulators such as Anritsu, R&S, or Keysight.
- Proficiency in developing and executing automated test scripts using Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Knowledge of network testing, performance optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in a cross-functional team.
