About the role
We are looking for a technically strong Python Developer with mandatory experience in the Frappe Framework. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of building, scaling, and modernising products while working in fast-paced startup environments and small agile teams. The role requires someone who can take ownership of existing platforms, drive architectural improvements, and contribute across both backend and frontend development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using the Frappe Framework and Python.
- Revamp and enhance existing products to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Build new product features while ensuring high code quality and system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in a small, agile setup.
- Optimise application performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best engineering practices.
Requirements:
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Frappe Framework.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience building and scaling web-based products.
- Experience revamping or modernising existing applications.
- Strong understanding of backend development, APIs, databases, and system design.
- Good exposure to frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience working with relational databases such as MariaDB/MySQL.
- Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in ERP or business application development using the Frappe ecosystem.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and deployment practices.
- Experience in startup or product-based organisations.
- Ability to work independently and take complete ownership of features and technical deliverables.
