Python Developer - scala

We are looking for a talented Python Developer with hands-on experience in Scala to join our backend engineering team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development, data processing, and API design using Python and Scala. You will work on building scalable systems, high-performance data pipelines, and backend services.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python and Scala.
• Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable APIs and data processing workflows.
• Work with distributed systems and real-time/batch data processing pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data scientists, and DevOps.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code following best practices.
• Optimize performance and troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.

• 3+ years of professional experience in Python development.
• Hands-on experience with Scala in production-grade systems.
• Strong understanding of OOP, functional programming, and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
• Experience with Akka, Play Framework, or Spark (in Scala) is a plus.
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
• Working experience with version control systems like Git.

• Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, or other distributed systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (optional).
• Prior experience in data engineering or stream processing.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
