About the role
Brief Description:NonStop io is seeking a proficient QA Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for quality assurance (manual and/or automation) of enterprise-level applications.
Roles and Responsibilities:● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field● 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance● Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual and automated testing● Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to ensure software quality● Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams for resolution● Ensure test coverage by working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders● Establish and maintain continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines for test automation● Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured● Strong proficiency in automated testing using either of Selenium or Playwright● Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle management● Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)● Hands-on experience writing and validating database queries using SQL.● Knowledge of testing asynchronous, event-driven systems using messaging platforms such as RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka.● Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are desirable but not required.● Familiarity with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar● Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques● Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software● Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall quality of the product● Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in QA methodologies and automation frameworks Requirements
