About the role

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Quality Analyst for maintaining the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of employee data. You will manage system testing, troubleshoot software defects, audit database records, and ensure HR platforms align with business objectives. This role will focus on working closely with business stakeholders through the full SDLC.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following:

Quality Assurance and System Testing:

  • Create Test Cases: Develop comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts and test cases for system fixes, patches, and new feature deployments.
  • Regression Testing: Ensure system upgrades (e. g., quarterly Oracle, SAP, or Workday releases) do not break existing HR workflows or integrations.
  • Defect Tracking: Identify, isolate, and document system bugs, working closely with IT or external vendors to resolve them.

Data Integrity and Auditing:

  • Data Audits: Perform regular, routine audits of HRIS data (e. g., compensation, benefits, and job data) to identify anomalies and missing information.
  • Troubleshooting Errors: Act as an escalation point for resolving data discrepancies and integration errors across systems.
  • Compliance: Ensure employee data handling adheres to company privacy policies and employment regulations.

Process Optimization and Documentation:

  • Workflow Analysis: Perform fit/gap analyses to evaluate current HR processes against system capabilities, recommending improvements to maximize system utilization.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Document business processes, system configurations, and user training guides.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Data Extraction: Utilize HRIS reporting tools to extract employee data and create actionable metrics, dashboards, and custom reports for HR and executive management.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of HRIS/QA experience (or equivalent combination), specifically working with major platforms like Workday.
  • Strong query writing and reporting skills (e. g., SQL, PeopleSoft Query, Workday Report Writer). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
  • Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail with strong root-cause analysis skills to pinpoint and resolve complex technical or data issues.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into functional business requirements and bridge the gap between HR and IT teams.
