About the role
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain healthcare data pipelines using Python.
- Work extensively with FHIR and HL7 healthcare data standards and integrations.
- Develop ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, validate, and process healthcare data.
- Build and manage workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow.
- Work with healthcare datasets such as patient, encounter, observation, medication, diagnostic, and clinical data.
- Develop data transformation and normalisation processes for structured and semi-structured healthcare data.
- Implement data quality checks, validation, monitoring, and error-handling mechanisms.
- Work with APIs and healthcare systems to ingest and exchange FHIR/HL7 data.
- Optimise data pipelines for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and healthcare domain teams to understand data requirements.
Requirements:
- 4-7 years of experience in Data Engineering / Healthcare Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python.
- Strong knowledge of FHIR and HL7 standards.
- Experience working with healthcare/clinical datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT and data pipeline development.
- Experience with REST APIs and healthcare data integrations.
- Good understanding of data modelling, data transformation, and data quality.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
